Aaron was a great host! He is very knowledgeable about the area, offering great suggestions. He was so accommodating, having the home ready before check-in time and the jazz music as we walked in was such a touch!
The place is very authentic! You can’t tell from the outside, but as soon as you walk in, you are greeted by Jazz music, beautiful local artwork and beads leading the way up the stairs! Stunning, beautiful and clean house! The neighborhood is beautiful and plenty of parking, which was a major plus!
You are about a 15 minute walk from the ferry and then about another 15-20 minute walk to Bourbon Street or Frenchman’s Street once you cross, so bring your walking shoes!
Also, just our experience, not much as far as food goes near the house. There is a bar and I believe two cafes and two restaurants (all near the ferry) which were lovely. But for a late night local pizza delivery, Papa Johns was the only option we could find. There were places you could drive too to get local pizza, but very limited.
Overall, really great experience! Aaron was a great host; communicative, prompt and helpful. The house was lovely and very charming inside. Very good if you want to be away from the action of NOLA but still close enough! Amazing value as well!
