From the moment I entered, Rick, actually had some New Orleans Jazz playing on vinyl. Talk about a welcoming experience for a music lover like me! The place was extremely clean and the walls had great local artwork. There was even a complimentary bottle of wine with beads for me on the kitchen table. After I got onto the wifi (very fast connection) Rick gave me a tour of the neighborhood. Very safe and also amazing little places to get some great food and enjoy some cocktails. At first I was worried because we were across the river and I wanted to hit Bourbon Street on a regular basis but it turned out I could get there quicker then driving with the fairy boat. It runs every 15 minutes, costs $2 and is FAST! I could walk from this apartment, take the fairy across the river and be there quicker and cheaper then any other option possible. I loved my stay here and recommend it to anyone looking for that authentic New Orleans experience that keeps you SAFE the entire time. I had a blast and if the place wouldn’t have been rented already after me, I would have extended my stay longer. It was that much fun and Rick hosted us like we were royalty.
