Greetings future travelers! We loved staying here for a 4

Greetings future travelers! We loved staying here for a 4 day/night getaway. We saved so much money utilizing the ferry instead of Uber. We did get a lot of walking in because it’s only about a 10 minute walk to the ferry, and every place we wanted to go to once we got to the other side into the French Quarter was just another 10-15 minutes walk. (You have to walk in this city because you’ll miss things if you end up just driving everywhere. Plus, we ate so much food we felt better about ourselves for having walked) You can always Uber and that ride would be no more than $10 once you got to the East bank. But walk. I’m 6 months pregnant and the walking was awesome.
Our flight was schedule right in the middle of Hurricane Nate, and Rick gave us updates days before we even arrived whether he thought it was anything to worry about or if we should cancel our trip. It was very nice of him to go out of his way to do this. When the weather channel tried to scare us, Rick assured us it was all hype, and he was right.
About the apartment – Rick’s place is huge and immaculate… so much bigger than the pictures can portray, and minimalistic yet stylish. He provides coffee, dishes and utensils, Brita water, and a stocked up bathroom as well. There’s a closet with lots of hangers, a desk, and even a vanity mirror. He has everything you would need, and more, including some snacks. Rick is super nice, accommodating, communicative, and his dog is awesome. We had the pleasure of meeting him on one of our walks.
