I had a great stay here. Rick met me upon arrival and showed me the place; as others have mentioned, he provided a bottle of wine and snacks. The jazz music playing on the stereo was a nice touch and really put me in a vacation mood!
The location is great – the neighborhood is charming, and I loved taking the ferry back and forth. It lets you off right at the foot of Canal Street which is a great location to begin your exploration of the Quarter or other areas of the city. That ferry is fast! It takes only about 6 minutes to cross the river. If you stay out late, you can Uber it back easily. Just watch out for the surge fares – I didn’t notice one night in my inebriated state and got a big surprise the next morning!(+_+)!
As for the unit itself, it’s spacious, comfortable, and quiet. There is also an iron and ironing board available (I think it wasn’t mentioned in the listing) which was super convenient for me as I had packed pretty tight.
I didn’t get a chance to check out any of Rick’s recommendations in the neighborhood. I guess that will have to wait until next time! Yes, I kind of fell in love with New Orleans, and I hope to return soon! I would definitely not hesitate to stay here again.
