The place is exactly as described. Its about a $33 Uber from the airport and while you pass some sketchy areas keep your chin up, the place itself is in a quiet well kept neighborhood. No issues with any locals and never any concerns about my safety. Its about a 10 minute walk to the Algiers Ferry ($2 per person) if you’re looking to go to the French Quarter through the same type of quiet area. Otherwise its a $12ish Uber to that side. Pretty reasonable.
Small touches like bags of chips, water bottles and granola bars were unexpected but appreciated.
Turning on the shower is akin to milking a cow which adds to the atmosphere. I would absolutely stay here again.
