This is a wonderful location in a historic neighborhood of New Orleans! It’s within easy driving distance of the city, but is also a beautiful walk to the ferry, which will drop you at Canal St, walking distance to the French Quarter. We had breakfast at Tout de Suite, a local Algiers cafe (the crawfish etouffé was perfect), and also enjoyed a leisurely cup of coffee at local roaster Congregation Coffee. Both places are walking distance from the apartment, and there are several restaurants near the ferry port that serve great food and drinks! The apartment was gorgeous, with wood floors, a fully set-up kitchen, a comfy bed and bathroom, and plenty of informative brochures dedicated to the variety of interests that are within (and close by) New Orleans. It’s located in a quiet, friendly, and secure neighborhood. We felt safe strolling at night, as well as during the day, and the neighbors were kind and fun to meet! I highly recommend this apartment to those who enjoy staying someplace quiet and in the heart of an amazing city, but close enough to the zany French Quarter nightlife to enjoy it!
