We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rick’s apartment.
Algiers Point was a lovely surprise, with beautiful houses and a quick and regular ferry over to New Orleans. We enjoyed Rick’s suggestion of Old Point Bar and had our best Po Boy of the trip on that side of the river (Roast Beef at Dry Dock Cafe). Whilst the area is slightly run down, we always felt safe.
The apartment itself is spacious, bed comfy and modern decor. It was hot whilst we were there but there is plenty of air conditioning.
Rick himself was a great host. It was our honeymoon and he left us out a bottle of wine as well as there being English muffins and crisps there for us when we arrived. He was helpful with suggestions and even gave us washing detergent for free when we needed to wash our clothes.
Couldn’t recommend it higher 🙂
