Good times in New Orleans
We were in town for the Sugar Bowl and had a great stay at this property. The hosts/owners are extremely responsive. It was the perfect location for, and easy walk to the SuperDome. The property was clean and nicely appointed. The beds were very comfortable and the living room was a great place for hanging out and watching a little football! The area is definitely being gentrified, so there are some nice houses mixed in with some shady ones … but we felt totally safe. The backyard is great – the gas firepit and surrounding adirondack chairs were a great place to relax and get some fresh air. We were able to walk to one restaurant (Dooky Chase) but, other than that and the SuperDome, we took Ubers everywhere else. There is a Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods as well as a nice bagel shop (Flour Moon Bagels) within a mile of the house. The items that the owner supplied (paper towels, dishwasher detergent/liquid soap, sponge, toilet paper, hand soap, and shampoo/conditioner/body wash) were all nice quality and plenty was supplied for our visit. We would definitely stay here again.
The dishwasher is loud, so I would suggest running it when you are out of the house 🙂
