I stayed from Sunday through Thursday, and the experience was fantastic. You step right out the door into the vibrant Frenchmen Street scene. Beyond the legendary music clubs and great dining right outside, it’s an easy stroll down to the river, and the streetcar line is just steps away to take you anywhere in the city.
You are right in the cultural heartbeat of the neighborhood, so you get the authentic New Orleans energy people come here to experience. If you require complete, dead silence to sleep, the lively street vibe might not be for you—but if you want front-row access to the soul of the city, this is it. Even mid-week the energy was great; I can only imagine how exciting the weekends get.
