Grounds Krewe
Grounds Krewe is a New Orleans-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit making the city’s vibrant festival culture cleaner and more sustainable, without losing any of the fun.
From Mardi Gras parades to neighborhood events, we work with volunteers, local businesses and organizations, Mardi Gras krewes, and other community stakeholders to bring waste prevention, recycling, and eco-friendly alternatives to NOLA’s most beloved gatherings.
Our mission is simple: create a festival culture that retains its spirit and enjoyment while leaving the lowest impact possible on our community spaces and planet’s resources, a setting where environmental stewardship is convenient, accessible, and contagious.

Turning Tables
Turning Tables advocates for equity in the hospitality industry by providing training, mentorship, and education for historically underrepresented communities in New Orleans. Through our 12-week program, rising hospitality professionals receive culturally responsive education, hands-on externship experience at the city’s top restaurants, bars, and music venues, and wraparound support including free mental health resources, childcare assistance, and financial literacy education that meets them where they are.
Our alumni enter the industry; building thriving careers and pathways to leadership, entrepreneurship, and opportunity across the three tiers of the beverage industry, backed by a community that stays with them long after graduationOur vision is a hospitality industry where leadership reflects the communities it serves, making New Orleans a model city for equitable access in practice. Your donation funds it all the program, the people, and the possibilities.
