When I tell y’all that this gumbo is better than any other I’ve ever had, including my Cajun grandma’s, I’m not lying… (just don’t tell her I said that!) This is my favorite place to bring friends from out-of-town. The gumbo is absolutely delicious with a good serving size. My go-to entree is the spaghetti, with the egg on the side. The Black Forest cake is my favorite dessert I’ve tried here so far but be warned – it is RICH. If you aren’t a sweet lover, try their tart of the season (they do rotate dessert options). I always like to call out places that are accommodating to my fish allergy. The hosts at Herbsaint always offer to seat me outside, if able, and alert the servers beforehand to recommend dishes that are fish-free. Their excellent customer service is always appreciated!
