I read a review that said it was unsettling area. I have to say, nothing was unsettling at all, and my family all felt safe. I reserved the location when I found out the artwork in the house was from an artist I know personally. the best part was the artwork was for sale. I came home with 3 new pieces.
there are a couple of places the locals eat at and enjoy bands at that were less than a block away. Lives upto the NOLA hype. It’s not touristy, but more of the locals scene.
if you want to visit Bourbon street you are a 5min uber ride away.
