My family loved our stay at this charming home. This AirBnB was incredibly clean and decorated beautifully. Every detail inside was ergonomically friendly for travelers. From the luggage stands, to hooks, to the bed side outlets in the lamp, every detail was impeccably designed. My family loved the flat parking that was available right next to the AirBnB. One thing that we loved the most about this listing was the amazing communication leading up to our stay at this AirBnB. The hosts easily updated dates that changed due to our schedules. In addition, there was a digital log that we received the day before our arrival that had SO many amazing recommendations for food and fun around the area that we planned our trip from! We loved the restaurant Katie’s – everything was amazing, and Parkway Bakery – for the po boys. These restaurants were less than 5-10 minutes from this listing. The location was PERFECT. It was close enough to the French Quarters and also extremely close to City Park. It was in a quaint and quiet neighborhood. Tip: If Cafe Du Monde is on your New Orleans checklist I would recommend going to the location in City Park. There is little to no line and fast service. Yum!!
Some things to note about this listing:
-The TV was hard to figure out; however it was not enough of a need to message the host. Instead we enjoyed the amazing board games the host had to offer.
-My family arrived at night. There is a two foot deep pothole in the very front of the home that our cars back left tire unfortunately fell into. We were however able to get the car out unharmed. However, when entering this AirBnB PLEASE be aware of this. We know this is not an Airbnb issue, but a city issue. Just be very aware of this pothole. Also, the streets in this neighborhood are in bad shape. Not to the point of not being drivable. You as the driver I would have liked to have been aware if you’re arriving late to make sure you are watching for the potholes.
-In the room with twin beds the twin bed next to the door is very squeaky. However, the one next the wall was perfect. The twin beds are not plush but are sleep-able. The queen bed in the other room is very comfortable.
All in all this was incredible listing. We are so thankful for this incredible experience of living modern in an antique style home of the area!
