Patricia and Mike’s home is a charming traditional “shotgun-style” home, very well equipped, extremely clean, and in great condition with thoughtful little touches everywhere. We enjoyed morning coffees and an evening glass of wine on both the front porch overlooking the fountain and in the beautiful, private backyard.
This home is in a tranquil, quiet neighborhood within a 3-block walk of the gorgeous City Park (worth a whole day exploring) and a 3-block walk from the Canal St streetcar (takes you right to the French Quarter) – and there’s a great coffee shop across from the streetcar stop! It is the perfect location – we never used our car (or Uber) – the streetcar system connects you just about everywhere and New Orleans is such a walkable city.
Patricia and Mike are wonderful hosts, very friendly and shared lots of local tips. We will be coming back to New Orleans and will definitely be staying here again – couldn’t have found a nicer, more welcoming home base for our stay.
