We absolutely loved our stay here. The property is close
We absolutely loved our stay here. The property is close enough to the centre of New Orleans to get in and out easily but far enough away that all the noise of a busy city doesn’t keep you awake at night.
The beds are comfortable, there was everything I needed in the kitchen and there’s even a garden/yard to sit in and enjoy a drink in the evenings. The house is tastefully decorated with some beautiful pictures of New Orleans and some original features such as fireplaces in the bedrooms , light and ceiling fans, wooden doors etc. Should you find yourself at home at all there is a tv, videos and multiple board games plus jigsaws and a record player with a good selection of vinyl to choose from. Nothing better than sitting down with a freshly brewed coffee from cafe Monde and listening to a New Orleans jazz band playing ‘When the saints go marching in.’
Our hosts were extremely helpful with providing all information needed in a timely fashion and even allowed us to leave our car outside the property while we went into town for breakfast after we had checked out. We cannot wait to visit New Orleans again and we will definitely be staying here again too. As a note we are a British family living in the USA and we are fed up of faceless hotels and we are actively looking for beautiful, charming, traditionally decorated places to stay as we navigate our way around this exciting country. As my 18 year old daughter said “I love this house, it just screams Louisiana style.”
