Neighborhood

Located in Esplanade Ridge, also known as 19th Century Creole Millionaire's Row!

The large double-galleried houses and charming cottages that line Esplanade Avenue, which extends from the river out to City Park, are some of the most beautiful in New Orleans; but for many years, Esplanade Ridge was a uniquely undervalued area. Its great live oaks and sycamores shade a boulevard as wide and impressive as St. Charles Avenue, but its homes still remain within reach of those whose love of history is accompanied by a more modest budget. Here, you can find a mansion waiting for your tender loving care, or a private home that's been restored back to all its 19th-century charm. Esplanade Ridge is rapidly becoming one of the most desirable sections in town. If you can only dream of a white-columned residence on Prytania Street, such a home is waiting for you right now in Esplanade Ridge.

Built on naturally occurring high ground, these homes escaped the most severe flooding of Katrina, although there was some wind and roof damage. The residents of Esplanade Ridge, who fought so hard to bring their neighborhood back from urban decay, didn't let the hurricane stop them, and quickly returned to clean up their homes and make the area shine. Take a walk down Esplanade Avenue when the mockingbirds are singing in the trees, and you'll know you're in a very special place. Quiet, elegant, and filled with the beauty of the past, Esplanade Ridge speaks to those who value an earlier time of gracious living and elegant Creole charm.

The location is perfect. Right on Bourbon, but at the quiet end and near Frenchman. Everything is walkable. Beautiful courtyard and a balcony spot for morning coffee. Loved our stay here.

only 10 min walk to the party of bourbon street. tons of bars and restaurants so close. The place was clean and beautiful. parking was a tad confusing cuz it mentioned it was a fine if we didn’t have resident pass. we contacted host we got quick response saying they don’t really ticket ppl and we didn’t have any problems also had plenty of spots to park so no worries there. I recommend gettin a burger at Port of call and breakfast at the ruby slipper. def would come back!

This place is in a great location! If you’re planning on hanging out around Frenchman and Bourbon street, this location is awesome! We walked everywhere from here with no troubles.
We were allowed to check in early for a fee and that went very smoothly. As long as you follow their instructions for early check in, it’s a breeze (if available).
The hosts were very responsive and helpful. They sent us some recommendations for a few breakfast spots and the one we made it to was great!
Having the private courtyard into the apartment made us feel extra safe. You will hear road noise and the occasional drunk group of people walking down the street, but it didn’t keep us awake or anything.
The hosts left crystal clear instructions for check in and check out. This was very helpful so we knew what was expected of us.
We would stay here again. You can’t beat the location.
